About AIIMS PG Exam 2020
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) conducts the national level entrance examination for the PG courses of MD / MS/ DM / M.Ch / MDS. AIIMS PG exam date 2020 January session notification has been released on its official page. The Registration process has started on May onwards. AIIMS PG 2020 Latest Notifications (January Session)
- From 2019 onwards, AIIMS introduced the new registration process to the exam applying candidates in the name of Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR).
- PAAR consists of two steps i.e., Basic Registration and Final Registration.
AIIMS PG 2020 Exam Registration
All India Institute of Medical Sciences has the two rounds of registrations. It can be divided into two steps i.e., Basic registration and Final registration.
Basic Registration
In Basic Registration before filling the application form candidates ensure the below mentioned information ready at hand.

- Candidate photograph

Final Registration
In Final Registration, candidates should fill the academic details on the final registration application form also should pay the application fees by making online transactions like credit/debit/net banking.
AIIMS PG Exam Eligibility Criteria
- A candidate must possess MBBS and BDS degree for MD / MS / MDS courses of a University recognized by the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India.
- Students should have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship / Practical training.
- The candidates must have obtained a minimum of the following aggregate marks in all the professional MBBS / BDS examinations.
- For SC / ST Categories 50% marks in aggregate
- For OBC Categories 55% marks in aggregate
- Persons with Bench-mark Disabilities (PWBD) candidates in the minimum aggregate as provided in (1) and (2) for the category to which the candidate belongs shall apply.
AIIMS PG 2020 Application Form
Students who wish to apply for the PG courses at AIIMS should need first to register themselves in the basic and final registration. The Basic and Final registrations have the number of steps as follows.
Step 1: Basic Registration
In Basic Registration, candidates should provide the candidate’s personal details. It consists of two stages i.e., Registration and Upload Images. In Registration, stage candidates should provide their personal details such as the name, DOB, gender, father name, mother name, email, mobile number. Subsequently, in Upload Images stage students should upload their recent passport size photograph, signature. After submitting the two stages the Registration ID will be sent to the registered mail id. This Registration ID is the valid login credentials for the upcoming further processes.
Step 2: Final Registration
In Final Registration stage candidates should provide the details of the educational qualification, making application fees, etc., It consists of three stages i.e., Qualifications, Application Fees, and Choosing the exam centre. Students must provide valid academic details at the time of form filling. After submitting the qualifications details it will be redirected into payment gateway for paying the application fees.
Step 3: Application Fees
The application fees will be paid by the applying candidate in the online mode through the credit/debit/ net banking.

Step 4: Selecting Exam Centre
The exam centres will be allocated as per the candidate’s preferences. Students are advised to carefully choose their exam centre for their availability as much as possible easy to come there. Once the exam centre is selecting by the applicants it cannot be changed after submitting. Finally, candidates are requested to take a printout for the confirmation page of the final registration page for future references.
Step 5: Status Update of Final Registration
After both registrations have been completed by the candidates should need to check time to time the official page of the AIIMS for knowing the status of the final registration. Students can attend the entrance exam after the registration process will be confirmed by AIIMS.

Before commencement of the entrance examination, the AIIMS institute will release the PG, exam admit card. The admit card will not send them by post for the applied candidates. AIIMS PG Exam Cut Off Marks
Cut off mark is the essential qualifying marks for appearing the admission for PG courses at various AIIMS located across all over India. Every year the AIIMS institute set the tentative cut off marks for giving the admission to the deserved candidates. According to the student’s merit list, they will be a call for the counseling process by the counseling authority. However the necessary minimum eligible cut off marks will be in 50 percent.

AIIMS PG Exam Counselling Procedure
Students who have successfully clear the PG exam with necessary cut off and merit list will be invited for the online counseling process. Before that, candidates should first register themselves by filing the counseling application form with applicable fees for that. Candidates will be call for the counseling process in three or four rounds. PG course’s classes for the January session will commence in the month of 1st January for all the admitted candidates.
Students should keep the original documents at the time of the counseling process. The required documents are listed as follows.
