All India Sainik Schools Entrance Exam (AISSEE) 2020 for Class VI & IX

Sainik School recently released admission notice for Class six and nine for the academic year 2020-2021. All India Entrance Examination called All India Sainik School Entrance Examination(AISSEE)2020 will be conducted for the admission of students into this school. The Entrance exam will be held on 05 January 2020. The Medium of Examination for Class VI will be in English, Hindi and regional Language and for Class IX Question paper will be set in English only.  The exam will be based on OMR Based system with four options.

Sainik schools are residential schools for boys to provide Public School Education with military bias up to the higher secondary stage. It follows the Central Board of School Education(CBSE) Syllabus. It follows All India selection & examination and has schools in every state in India. Aim of the Sainik schools is to prepare boys physically, academically and psychologically for entry into National Defense Academy. There are a totally of 31 Sainik schools in India.

Eligibility Criteria

For admission to Class VI, Students should be between 10 &12 years of age (i.e., boys born between 01.04.2008 to 31.03.2010) and studying in V Standard. For Class IX, Students should be between 13 & 15 years of age (i.e., boys born between 01.04.2005 to 31.03.2007) as on 31 March 2020 and studying in VIII Standard in any recognized school.

Reservation

SC Category reserved 15% seats and ST Category reserved 7.5% of total seats. Out of remaining seats, 67% of the seats will be reserved for Children from states where schools located. Balance 33% of seats will be given to the Children from other states & Union territories. Any unutilized seats in this category will be merged with home state seats. 25% of seats are reserved for children of service personnel including Ex-servicemen. Staff children seeking admission to class VI & IX as day scholars also need to attend the entrance examination.

Qualifying Marks

Minimum qualifying marks for the general category, Children of Defense Services Personnel and ex-servicemen is 25% in each subject with 40% in aggregate. For SC/ST minimum qualifying standards are not required & they will be admitted on the basis of inter-se merit at the entrance examination with these categories. If an SC/ST Candidate comes in the general merit he would be admitted against the general seat and will not be adjusted against the reserved share of SC/ST seats.

AISSEE 2020 Merit List

For written examination 300 Marks prescribed for Class VI and 400 Marks Prescribed for Class IX. Merit list will be compiled on the basis of marks obtained by the Candidates. If two students obtain the same overall marks Mathematics marks will be considered if there is tie again English marks for Class IX and Intelligence Test for Class VI will be considered and thereafter marks of General science for class IX and Language for Class VI Will be considered. In case of tie again candidates with younger age will be considered for the position of the student in the final merit list. The fee of Rs.100 needed to be remitted by the parent/guardian of the candidates to get the final detailed mark list.

Medical Examination

After written examination shortlisted candidates will be called for Medical Examination by the school. The medical examination intimation date and location will be sent separately. Competent Medical authority will consider the height and weight of fitness. The decision of the medical examination authority at Command Hospital level shall be final and binding.
