What Is Kids Learn to Read?

What is this app, and how has it gotten a few million downloads in such a short time? We can only answer that question by looking at what preceded it.

Kids Learn to Read premiered at the Google I/O Conference in San Francisco, coming out as a revolutionary tool for helping children below the age of 8 get comfortable with reading.

Apps such as Kids ABC Letters and Kids ABC Phonics are certainly programs that inspired Intellijoy to develop this product.

While the aforementioned two tools are ideal if your kids needs to familiarize themselves with alphabet sounds or learn the names of certain letters, the one that we are reviewing is on a much higher level.

Features of Kids Learn to Read

Before we get into who can use this app, it is essential to discuss how this tool can help. The concept that lies behind is that your kid gets an opportunity to recognize spoken words, form sentences, and associate words with heard sounds through several fun games.

Even if your child is not that eager to start learning, we are sure that this app can stimulate them. It uses positive reinforcement to make the studying part even more efficient.

Although there is a free version of this app, there is also the option to go for the $2.99/month plan, which would allow you to have the app free of any ads and with an improved listening feature. In our opinion, it is a worthy investment, but even if you decide to go for the free option, you shouldn’t be missing out on a lot.

Different Sections

As for the sections that it is divided into, there are six. First, the Magic Letter Bridge is probably the most entertaining one, and it should allow your kid to get better at reading by controlling Tommy the Turtle.

The second part is Skateboards and Helmets, which are Tommy’s friends that your kid will use to their practice advantage. Meanwhile, Turn the Blocks goes a long way when it comes to forming blocks and creating words with the provided letters.

Additionally, there is Word Ball and Word Magic, where they will be allowed to bat the ball and mix magic potions in order to get the right words. Lastly, Rocket Words will allow your children to practice word-groups by preparing a space rocket launch.

Be aware that Word Ball, Word Magic, and Rocket Words aren’t available if you go for the free version.

How To Download/Use

As we have mentioned above, it is great to know that you can use this tool on a number of different platforms.

If you are a smartphone or a tablet owner, you should log on to Google Play or the App Store and have Kids Learn to Read installed within a couple of simple steps.

Additionally, there is a Windows version that goes a long way if your kid is more used to sitting by a desktop or a laptop.
