About Secondary Education Board Assam (SEBA)
The SEBA Board was established in the year 1962 by the Assam Secondary Education Act 1961. The Board was created to Regulate, Supervise and Develop Secondary Education in the State of Assam. During the formation of the Board, it consisted of Present states like Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh. After the formation of the above states they get separated from SEBA. It conducts the examination, Publishes results for Secondary education Students. Board also provides Online services like Rechecking & providing of Photocopy of Answer Scripts, Correction in Duplicate and Migration Certificates, e-Verification of Certificates.
SEBA HSLC/Class 10 Textbooks
Textbooks are the reference material for the students. Students can take a printout from the PDF File of textbooks. HSLC/10th Class Textbooks Followed by SEBA is NCERT, CBSE and it Follows the Curriculum of NCERT, CBSE and itself for certain Subjects. Board decided to adopt NCERT Syllabus in subjects like English, Mathematics, Science and CBSE Syllabus in Computer Science and own Syllabus for MIL Subjects like Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Manipuri, Nepali, and Garo. Subjects in Assam Board 10th Class Syllabus
The Subjects in Assam board 10th Class Syllabus are First Language, Second Language, General Science, General Mathematics, Social Science, and Elective Subjects. From the academic year, 2018 Internal Assessment marks for subjects English, Science, Mathematics, Geography (E), and Advanced Mathematics (E) will be 10. Internal Assessment is introduced for the Environmental project in Social Science and the mark is 10. These subjects will have Theory papers with 90 Marks.
