Generalist Officer Exam Pattern

Examination consisting of Objective Test for 150 marks will be conducted online. The test will have of 4 Sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows: –

Generalist Officer Selection Process 

The candidates shall be required to appear for online examination to be conducted through IBPS. The successful candidates shall be called for interview in the proportion of 1:4 based on their ranking.
Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the online Examination.
Candidates numbering up to 4 times (approx.) of the category wise vacancies will be shortlisted for the
Interview from the top of the category wise merit list subject to a candidate scoring the minimum aggregate qualifying score.
The candidates should secure minimum marks in online examination as mentioned below to qualify for interview / GD.
Category Minimum Marks to be obtained in Online Examination – UNRESERVED / EWS / OBC is 50 % and SC / ST/ PWBD is 45 %.
In case, in the opinion of the bank, adequate number of candidates have not qualified by obtaining minimum marks as stipulated above in the online examination, bank reserves right to reduce the minimum marks asdeemed fit.
The marks obtained in the online examination will not be added in the interview / GD score. Final Selection will be on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in personal interview.
The total marks allotted for personal interview are 100. Candidates have to secure minimum marks as mentioned below in interview / GD. Depending upon the number of candidates and vacancies, if the bank decides to conduct both GD and Interview, in that case the marks will be 20:80.
Category Minimum Marks to be obtained in Interview / GD – UNRESERVED / EWS / OBC is 50 % and SC / ST/ PWBD is 45 %.
Mere eligibility / admission to Group Discussions / Interview / pass in GD/ interview does not imply that the Bank is satisfied beyond doubt about the candidate’s eligibility and shall not vest any right in a candidate for selection. The Bank would be free to reject the candidature of any candidate at any stage of recruitment process, if he / she is found to be ineligible and / or furnished incorrect or false information / certificates / documents or has suppressed any material facts and the fees paid by the ineligible candidates shall be forfeited. If appointed, such a candidate may be summarily removed from the services of the Bank.

Specialist Officer Selection Process

The applications received will be screened and deserving candidates shall be shortlisted for Interview process based on their qualification, experience, suitability etc.
b)In case the ratio of number of vacancies to the number of eligible applicants exceeds 1:4, written examination of shortlisted candidates will be conducted through IBPS if deemed fit.
The candidates have to secure minimum marks in written examination to qualify for personal interview i.e 50% for UR / OBC / EWS and 45% for SC / ST. The marks obtained in written test will not be added in personal interview and final selection will be based on personal interview. The centre, pattern of examination, shall be informed through Bank’s website.
c) Final Selection will be based on marks secured by the candidates in personal interview. The total marks in personal interview are 100 in which candidates will have to secure minimum 50 marks for UR / EWS / OBC and 45 for SC / ST. In case group discussion will be conducted then the marks will be in ratio of 20: 80.
