The exams were held in March and April for both regular and private students of total of 31,14,821 students had registered for both Class 10 and Class 12 CBSE Board exams this year which includes 28 transgender candidates. The CBSE results have now been declared the 12th students held in 4,974 centres across India and 78 centres abroad. The total 31 lakh students includes 18 lakh boys and 12.9 lakh girls.
Hansika Shukla and Karishma Arora have topped the CBSE Class 12 exams scoring 499 marks each. A total of 83.4 per cent students passed this year’s examination.
In children with special need category, Lavanya Balakrishnan from Heritage school Gurugram has secured first position with 489 marks.
Topper
Two girls from Uttar Pradesh – Hansika Shukla and Karishma Arora have topped the board with 499/500 marks. Gaurangi Chawla is second with 498 marks from Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. A tie at 498 marks of Gaurangi Chawla (Nirmal Ashram, DeepMala Public School, Rishikesh), Aishwarya (Kendriya Vidyalaya, Rai Bareili), Bhavya (BRSK public school, Jind, Haryana). The overall pass percent this year has increased by 0.04 percent.
91.87% Delhi rank third
Trivandrum 98.2 per centage pass – top performing. Over all pass percentage at 83.4 per centage. Delhi stood third at 91.87 pass percentage. A total of 94,299 students secured 90 per cent marks in Class 12 examination.
