CBSE Hikes Examination Fees for SC/ST & General Category Students

The Central Board Of School Examination (CBSE) On Sunday released a Circular regarding Hike in Examination Fees for Class x and XII. The circular says that CBSE has Hiked the Examination Fees for the Class X and XII and this Hike in the Examination Fees is for Pan India not for a particular region and it has hiked the Fees after the Gap of Five Years. The fee was increased for all category Students. The Fee hike is included for the Students of CBSE in India as well as the Students in Abroad affiliated to CBSE by a resolution of the Governing Body of the Board.

For SC/ST Students Old Fee was Rs.350 for five subjects Now they Have to Pay Rs.1200, and for appearing for an additional Subject there are no extra fees for SC/ST Category but Now they have to pay Rs.300. Earlier Delhi Government Paid Rs.300 for SC/ST Students where the Students Have Paid Rs.50.

For General Category Students The Old Fee was Rs.750 (150 Per Subject) Now the Hiked Fee was Rs.1500(300 Per Subject) For 5 subjects Which are Almost Double the Old Fee. There are no Fees For Visually-impaired Students they are Exempted from Paying Fees. The Migration Fee which was RS.150 now hiked to Rs.350

The Students in Schools affiliated to CBSE in Abroad now have to pay Rs.10,000 for Five Subjects Previously they Have to pay Rs.5000 for 5 subjects. The hike is applicable for the academic year 2019-2020.

The CBSE board compares this fees with other Central board NIOS For Secondary Level Which Charges Rs.1450 For Female Candidates Rs.1800 for Male Candidates and Rs.1200 For SC/ST Students. At Secondary level NIOS board Charges Rs.2000 For Male Students, Rs.1750 For Female and RS.1300 For SC/ST students. For each additional Subject, it Charges Rs.720.
