FCI Syllabus 2019 for AG-II, III, JE & Other Posts

One of the largest PSU i.e. Food Corporation of India invited applications for Assistant Grade II & III, Junior Engineer, Steno, typist. Total 4103 posts were advertised through advt no. 01/2019. The corporation has 5 zones i.e. East, West, North, South and North-East zones. FCI recruits staff to be filled in these zones. Candidates in this recruitment are to be selected through written test of one to two phases followed by skill test and document verification. Usually lakhs of candidates apply for these posts but only a few are able to achieve their goal of qualifying all the stages. Paper-I:
This paper is designed to test candidate’s ability for General Aptitude. There will be  120 MCQ questions in this paper carrying 120 marks and 90 minutes duration. This paper will be for JE (Civil, Electrical Mechanical Engg.) and AG-III (General, Accounts, Depot & Technical) posts.
There will be questions from following subjects:

  4. Computer Proficiency
  5. Data Analysis/Numerical Ability/Data Interpretation.

General Awareness: National & International Current Affairs, Indian History, Polity, Geography, Economics, Scientific Research, Authors, Awards and Appointments, Important days, abbreviations, important organizations, summits etc..
Quantitative Aptitude / Numerical Aptitude: Numbers, LCM HCF, Decimals and fractions and relationships, Percentages. Ratio & Proportion, Mixture and Allegation, Time and distance, Time & Work, Averages, Simple / Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnerships, Algebra, Triangle, Circles, Centres, tangents, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons , Prism, Cone, Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Pyramid, Trigonometric ratio, Complementary angles, Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar diagram & Pie charts.
English Language / General English : Error in sentence, fill in the blanks, synonyms and antonyms, Spelling mistakes, idioms & phrases, one word substitution, Sentence Improvement and reordering, active/passive voice, narration, comprehension passage.
Hindi Language: व्याकरण, पर्यायवाची, लिंग, वचन, कारक, अलंकार, समास, रस, तत्सम / तदभव, सन्धियां, वर्तनी, त्रुटि, विलोम, वाक्यांश के लिए शब्द, मुहावरे, लोकोक्तियाँ, वाक्य संशोधन आदि
Computer Knowledge: Fundamentals, Basics of Computer and its types, History, Shortcut keys, devices, Softwares, MS Office, Network, Internet, Email etc.
Paper-II:
Questions in this paper will be asked to test post specific technical knowledge of the candidate in relevant stream.
