The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education was established on 27 May 1975, it conducts the examination of Std X commenced in the months of March and October and Std XII commenced in the months of March, June, and October. GBSHSE, Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education is the main board for education in the state of Goa and it has a responsibility for secondary and higher secondary education management for its all affiliated schools. The aims of the Board to provide secondary and higher secondary education to all students and increase the literacy rate in the state of Goa. And to provide adequate facilities for the educational and professional advancement of socially and educationally backward communities.
