Eligibility Criteria of B.Ed 2020 Examination
Students who are willing to participate in the B.Ed entrance examination should first check and ensure the eligibility criteria of IGNOU 2020 B.Ed exam.
- Candidates should secure 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s degree or in the Master’s degree in the disciplines of Science/Social Science/Commerce/Humanity.
- Students from the stream of Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology in the specialization of Science and Mathematics with 55% marks.
Eligible for Students of B.Ed. (ODL)
- Trained in-service teachers in the Elementary Education
- Candidates who have completed a National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized teacher education programme through in the mode of face to face.
As per the rules of the Central Government, the reservation and relaxation of 5% marks in minimum eligibility shall be provided to the SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwD candidates and also as per the rules and norms of the University the reservation will be provided to the Kashmiri Migrants and war widow candidates.
Master’s degree awarded is not be accepted without a first degree in Indira Gandhi National Open University.

The admission for the B.Ed program is based on the reservation policies of the IGNOU. Students will be allowed to admission as per the category wise. Candidates from the different categories and their reservation percentages are mentioned as follows.

Reserved seats for the categories of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes are interchangeable. Candidates who are falling under the PH category should attach the necessary certificates from recognized Medical authority with the minimum disability of 40% are only entitled to reservation. The annual income of the candidates who are under the category of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) should not exceed 8 lakhs per annum.

Steps for Filling Application Form
Step 1: Registration
Candidates should visit the official page of NTA IGNOU 2020. In Registration stage, applicants should provide the basic details such as the full name, date of birth, mother and father name, and valid email id, mobile number as mentioned in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate. After submitting the valid details, the application number will send to the registered email address and mobile number. This log in credential will useful for complete the remaining part of the application process.

Step 2: Filling the Application Form
Candidates should log in with valid application number has generated at the time of registration stage. In this stage, applicants should fill their details such as their Category, and also have to fill the educational details like qualifying degree certificates and mark sheets. Applicants should need to select any four cities of their choice of examination centre of IGNOU B.Ed exam 2020. All the details are should be verified by the candidate before submitting the entered details. So, candidates are advised to fill carefully with valid details during filling the application form of IGNOU B.Ed 2020 exam.
Note: If once submitted the Application form, under no circumstances the choice of cities for the examination centre filled in the application form shall be changed by the NTA.
Step 3: Uploading Photograph and Signature
After filling the personal and education details in the application form, candidates should have to upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature. The candidate’s photograph and signature should be scanned in the format of JPG/JPEG. The photograph should not be with cap or goggles. The photograph should be colored or black/white (clear contrast). Applicants should put his signature on a white paper by a black ink pen for uploading.
- The size of the scanned candidate’s photograph must be between 10kb to 200kb.
- The size of the scanned candidate’s signature should be between 4kb to 30kb.
Note: Candidate’s photograph is to be used for uploading on the application form and also for pasting on the Attendance Sheet at the exam centre. Candidate must check and ensure that the uploaded images are clear and proper.
Step 4: Pay the Application Fees
Mode of Payment – Application fees may be submitted through any of the following modes using payment gateway of concerned banks.

After verifying and submit the personal and educational details, students have to pay the examination fees. The application should be paid by the candidates as per their category wise. Students who have successfully paid the application fees only will be considered to take the entrance test of B.Ed. Application fees should be paid in the online mode such as the Credit/Debit/Net banking.
Note: Application fees shall not be refunded at under any circumstances if the application is rejected or the candidate is found to be ineligible or candidate is unable to appear in the examination.

Step 5: Print Confirmation Page
Students should print the confirmation page once the payment has successfully paid. In case the confirmation page is not generated after payment of application fees then the transaction is canceled, and the amount will be refunded within 15 days of the last date of submission of the application form to the concerned candidate’s account.
