Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology IIST 2020 announced admissions for Undergraduate programs like B. Tech (Aerospace Engineering), (Avionics) and B. Tech + M. S/ M. Tech) courses. candidates who want to join in this mentioned courses, they must appear for the JEE (Advance) 2020 conducted by the CBSE and secured the minimum prescribed category-wise marks. IIST 2020 Offered Courses

  • 4-year B. Tech (Aerospace Engineering)
  • 4-year B. Tech (Avionics)
  • 5-year Dual Degree (B. Tech + M. S/ M. tech)

The 5-year Dual Degree programme leads to B. Tech. degree in Engineering Physics and choose any of the following PG degrees,

  • S (Astronomy & Astrophysics)
  • S (Earth System Science)
  • S (Solid State Physics)
  • Tech (Optical Engineering)

Note: There is no exit option at the end of four years.

IIST 2020 Admission Rank list prepared only for those candidates who registered online for admission and everyone keep in mind that the Admission rank list prepared only based on their JEE (Advance) 2020 All India Rank (category wise included). IST Admission Rank list open from last week of June 2020.

  • Tech (Aerospace Engineering) – 60 seats
  • Tech (Avionics) – 60 seats
  • Dual Degree (B. Tech + M. S/ M. tech) – 20 seats

IIST 2020 Admission counseling


The IIST Admission counseling conducts by candidates who secured JEE (Advance) 2020 Rank wise included with category wise. The Admission counseling conducted during the fourth week of June 2020.

The IIST 2020 Seats are reserved for different category applicable as per rules of the Government of India.

Scheduled Tribes (ST) 7.5%
Other Backward Castes (OBC) belong to Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) 27%
Persons with disabilities (PWD) 3%  (Horizontal Reservation)
