Eligibility Criteria for JIPMER MBBS Exam 2020
Students who wish to apply the JIPMER 2020 exam should first fulfill the eligibility aspects as defined by the exam conducting authority. Below we have mentioned detailed eligibility criteria for JIPMER 2020 exam as follows.
Nationality
The Applicants must be an Indian National/ Overseas Citizen of India
Age Limit
A candidate has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission. There is no upper age limit.
Qualifying Examinations
- Candidates should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology from a recognized Higher/ Senior Secondary/ Indian School Certificate Examination.
- Any other elective with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) after 10+2+3 education system as recommended by the National Committee on Education.
- The applicants must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology, and English with a minimum of 50% marks for the General Category candidates.
- For the candidates from the categories of Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Other Backward Classes should have minimum marks of 40% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology.
- For Person with Disability (PwD) candidates in General category should have obtained at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
- The Applicants who have appeared or will be appearing in the qualifying examination in March/ April 2020 and whose results have not yet been declared can also apply.

Step 1: Registration
Applicants should need to provide a valid email address and mobile number for registering purposes. After providing the necessary details students should have to check and then submit the details. A unique application number and password will be sent to the registered email id and mobile number. Candidates are advised to keep safe the application number and password until the admission process has been done.
Step 2: Fill the Application Form

Step 3: Upload Photograph and Signature

The uploaded photograph should be taken on or after 31.01.2020. The name and date on the photograph should be legible. The candidate’s scanned photograph should be in the range from 20KB to 200Kb and keep the signature minimum size is 20KB. The uploaded Community/ Income & Asst/ PwD certificates size within the limit of 800KB.
Step 4: Pay the Application Fees
After uploading the necessary documents, candidates have to pay the application fees for completing the application process. The applicants should choose any one of the payment gateway options to pay the application fees in the online mode only in the way of Credit/Debit/Net Banking. No other payment mode will be accepted.

Marking Scheme of JIPMER 2020
JIPMER 2020 exam has a total of 200 questions from the topics related to the above-mentioned subjects. For each correct answer, the candidate will get 4 marks. There is a negative mark for the incorrect answers i.e., 1 mark will be deducted from the total marks for incorrect option. There are no marks will provide for unattempted questions.
