JNU 2020 Admission – Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination JNUEE 2020 exam date has been announced by the NTA. JNU online registration (or) application form will commence from on 2nd March 2020 and close on 31st March 2020. JNUEE 2020 will be provided admission for the streams of Engineering, Science, Arts, Law, Humanities, which is also for the Biotechnology programmes called as JNU CEEB. JUNEE 2020 is provide the admission at Jawaharlal Nehru University for the various UG and PG courses based on the performance of the candidates in the Computer Based Test for all the programmes of study.

Jawaharlal Nehru University is conducted the examination called Combined Entrance Examination for Biotechnology (CEEB) of the Department of Biotechnology for 54 participating institutes for admission into four Master programmes in Biotechnology i.e., M.Sc Biotechnology, M.Sc Agricultural Biotechnology, M.VSc, and M.Tech Biotechnology.

Eligibility Criteria of JNU Admission 2020

Applicants who wish to apply the JNU 2020 Admission should first check and ensure the eligibility criteria. Students should check the below mentioned eligible factors for appearing in the JNUEE 2020 entrance examination.

The minimum age limit for the B.A (Hons) programme is 17 years. There is no age limit for any other programme.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts (Hons) 1st Year

Aspirants should have completed their examination in the level of 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks.

Bachelor of Arts (Hons) 2nd Year

Students must have qualified the bachelor’s degree in the 1st year of studies from a recognized university with 45% marks

Master of Arts (MA)

Candidates should secure a bachelor’s degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 level of education with the minimum 50% marks

Bachelor’s degree with the aggregate marks of 50% in the following subjects such as Economics (Hons) or Mathematics (Hons) or Statistics (Hons)

Bachelor’s degree with 60% aggregate marks with Economics and Mathematics as subjects.

M.Phil and Ph.D

Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks in the fields of Political Science, History, Economics, Sociology, Defence/Strategic Studies, International Relations (or) Master’s degree in Natural Sciences with the minimum aggregate marks of 55%

Master of Science (M. Sc)

Bachelor’s degree (either B.Sc or B.Tech or equivalent) in the fields of Biological, Physical or Agricultural Sciences or Biotechnology under the education pattern of 10+2+3 with minimum 55% marks.

Master of Public Health (MPH)

Candidates must secure MBBS degree with at least 55% marks or M.Sc    degree in nursing with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks (Main Subject: Medicine and Nursing).

Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

Bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline with necessary competence in Mathematics under the 10+2+3 education pattern with minimum 55% marks.

Master of Technology (M.Tech)

Candidates should have completed the master’s degree in Computer Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Operational Research/any branch of Science/Master of Computer Applications/ bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering and Technology with a minimum of 55% marks.

Reservation Policy

JNU 2020 admission will be provided to the qualified candidates as per the reservation policy of Government of India. The different reservation of seats for candidate’s various category as follows.

Quantum Reservation

Candidates belonging to EWS who are not covered under the scheme of reservation for the categories of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes will get 10% reservation in admission to the different courses except M.Phil and Ph.D.

Instructions for filling JNU 2020 Application Form

Applicants are advised to keep in mind the below-mentioned instructions at the time of form filling.

  • Apply online registration jnu.ac.in (or) https://ntajnu.nic.in and note down the system generated Application Number.

  • Upload the Scanned Photograph and Signature

Necessary Documents for filling Application Form

Students should keep the original documents in their hands during filling the online application form. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. More than one application forms submitted by a candidate will be rejected.

Procedure for Filling Application Form

Step 1: Registration

Candidates should visit the official page of NTA JNUEE 2020 or Jawaharlal Nehru University. In Registration stage, applicants should provide the basic details such as the full name, date of birth, mother and father name, and valid email id, mobile number as mentioned in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate. After submitting the valid details, the application number will send to the registered email address and mobile number. This log in credential will useful for complete the remaining part of the application process.

Step 2: Filling the Application Form

Candidates should log in with valid application number has generated at the time of registration stage. In this stage, applicants should fill their details such as their Category, and also have to fill the educational details like qualifying degree certificates and mark sheets. Applicants should need to select any four cities of their choice of examination centre of JNUEE 2020. All the details are should be verified by the candidate before submitting the entered details. So, candidates are advised to fill carefully with valid details during filling the application form of JNU 2020.

Note: If once submitted the Application form, under no circumstances the choice of cities for the examination centre filled in the application form shall be changed by the NTA.

Step 3: Uploading Photograph and Signature

After filling the personal and education details in the application form, candidates should have to upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature. The candidate’s photograph and signature should be scanned in the format of JPG/JPEG. The photograph should be colored or black/white (clear contrast). Applicants should put his signature on a white paper by a black ink pen for uploading.

  • The size of the scanned candidate’s photograph must be between 10kb to 200kb.
  • The size of the scanned candidate’s signature should be between 4kb to 30kb.

Note: Candidate’s photograph is to be used for uploading on the application form and also for pasting on the Attendance Sheet at the exam centre. Candidate must check and ensure that the uploaded images are clear and proper.

Step 4: Pay the Application Fees

Mode of Payment – Application fees may be submitted through any of the following modes using payment gateway of concerned banks. There are two ways to pay the examination fees i.e., either online or offline mode.

After verifying and submit the personal and educational details, students have to pay the examination fees. The application should be paid by the candidates as per their category wise. Students who have successfully paid the application fees only will be considered to take the entrance test of JNUEE 2020. Step 5: Print Confirmation Page

Students should print the confirmation page once the payment has successfully paid. Applicants are considered for participation in the JNUEE 2020 examination that only candidates who have received the confirmation page after payment of fees. Students can check their confirmation of payment transaction at NTA JNUEE official website. In case the confirmation page is not generated after payment of application fees then the transaction is canceled, and the amount will be refunded within 15 days of the last date of submission of the application form to the concerned candidate’s account.

JNUEE 2020 Admit Card

Candidates can able to participate in the JNU 2020 examination only they have the admit card on the examination day. JNU 2020 admit card download notification will be uploaded on the NTA JNUEE official website. JNUEE 2020 Challenging the Answer key

After the declaration of the provisional answer key, candidates can raise their hands for the answer to questions that they think are wrong. They can participate in the contest to provide their suggestions about that the answer the question with paying the applicable fees of Rs.1000 for each question within the stipulated time. The paid amount will not be refunded.

JNUEE 2020 Counselling

Students who have cleared the JNU 2020 examination can participate in the counselling process once they have met the eligible percentile of the concerned courses. All the UG and part-time courses can get the admission into based on their performance in the Computer Based Test. For the selection of M.Phil and Ph.D candidates are called for viva-voce and final merit list for selection is made with 70% weightage for CBT score and 30% for viva-voce.

Candidates are invited for viva-voce who are finally selected for admission will be intimated on their registered email address and also can check the details regarding viva-voce on the JNU official website.
