About the Council of Higher Secondary Exams Manipur (COHSEM)
COHSEM was established in the year 1992 by the Manipur Higher Secondary Act 1992. Before that HSE/12th Class Course was conducted by the Board of Secondary Exams Manipur as HSLC Certificate Course in Higher Secondary Schools and Pre- University Course by Manipur University in the College. After the establishment of Council taken over +2 courses in BSEM and Manipur University, it is combined to form COHSEM. The first public Examination was conducted by COHSEM in 1993. Main role of the Council is to train and nurture individuals of the state on par with National and International levels. Its functions are Development of Curriculum, Preparation, and Printing of Textbooks, Conduction, Evaluation of Class XI & Class XII Exams in the State.

Three groups of subjects like Arts, Science and Commerce ARE provided in class 12 Courses.
