Sainik School Kodagu, Karnataka recently released admission notice for Class VI and Class IX. Admission for the school is carried out by conducting the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE). Sample question papers, Prospectus, Exam fees, Scholarship details of Sainik School Kodagu are given on the official website and here which can be downloaded by the students. AISSEE Entrance Examination has conducted All India for the admissions into Sainik schools. AISSEE exam application is done through online mode only. The entrance exam will be conducted on the OMR Sheet method. Sainik schools follow CBSE Syllabus and Affiliated to CBSE New Delhi. Mathematics, General Knowledge, Language, Intelligence are the subjects for Class VI. Mathematics, English, General Science, Social Studies, Intelligence are the subjects for Class IX.
Sainik School online application form submission has been extended to 31st October 2019.
About Sainik School Kodagu
Sainik School Kodagu is the twenty-second Sainik School in the country and it is located at Kudige. It follows the CBSE Curriculum. It is a joint venture between the Government of Karnataka and the Defence ministry. Sainik Schools train the individual to be one of the social conscious men and develop his education. Eligibility Conditions
Candidates must satisfy following eligibility rules to apply Class 6 and Class 9 admission.
Admission is Open for Karnataka state domicile boys for class VI and Class IX.
Age criteria:
For Class 6 – Boys must be born between 01-04-2008 to 31-03-2010.
Boys who have completed 10 years of age and not completed 12 years are eligible to apply for Class VI.
For Class 9- Boys must be born between 01-04-2005 to 01-03-2005.
Boys who have completed 13 years of age and not completed 15 years and the candidate studying in Class VIII in a government recognized school are eligible to apply for Class IX

Vacancies may be increased and decreased with respect to the strength of the school.
Admission Procedure
Admission is carried out in two phases namely
- Written examination.
- Medical examination.
The admission process is purely based on merit.
Syllabus & Exam Pattern
Entrance Examination is conducted based on CBSE Syllabus. The question paper will be based on Class 5 and Class 8 CBSE Syllabus for Class 6 and Class 9.

- Mathematics – 150 Questions.
- General Knowledge – 50 Questions.
- Language – 50 Questions.
- Intelligence – 50 Questions.
Total – 300 Questions.
Time for each Section
- Mathematics – 60 minutes
- General Knowledge – 30 minutes.
- Language – 30 minutes.
- Intelligence – 30 minutes.
Total – 150 Minutes
Exam pattern for Class 9
- Mathematics – 200 Questions.
- English – 50 Questions.
- General Science – 50 Questions.
- Social Studies – 50 Questions.
- Intelligence – 50 Questions.
Total – 400 Questions.
Time for each Section
- Mathematics – 60 minutes
- English – 30 minutes
- General Science – 30 minutes.
- Social Studies – 30 minutes.
- Intelligence – 30 minutes.
Total – 180 minutes.
Medium of Examination
For Class VI – Examination will be conducted in English, Kannada or any other recognized languages. The question paper will be given in the medium in which the student is chosen in the application form.
For Class IX – Question papers will be given in English Only.

- SC- 15%
- ST – 7.5%
- Defense (Serving & Ex-Servicemen) – 25%
- 67% of the total seats are reserved for Karnataka state boys
Scholarships
Merit-Based Scholarships, Income-Based Scholarships, and SC/ST Scholarships for boys belonging to Karnataka domicile are available for them. Defense Scholarships are also given to the wards of serving & Ex-Servicemen. The details about the scholarships are given below.
