Sainik School Punglwa, Nagaland notified admission notification for Class VI and IX. Admission for Class VI and IX will be done by conducting the All India Entrance examination AISSEE. All Sainik schools all over India participate in this examination seeking admission for students in their school. Sainik Schools are English medium residential schools for Boys they follow CBSE Syllabus. The application must be filled online and payment also needs to be paid online. written examination and medical examination are the two stages of the AISSEE Examination.

Eligibility Criteria
- For Class VI – The Boy should be born between April 01 2008 and March 31 2010 (both date inclusive) (10 to 12 years)
- For Class IX – The Boy should be born between April 01 2005 and March 31 2007 (both date inclusive) (13 to 15 years) and must be studying in Class VIII in a recognized school.

Reservation
For Scheduled Castes, 15% of total seats are reserved. 7% Seats reserved for Schedule Tribes. Out of the remaining 67% seats reserved for boys from Nagaland State. Balance 33% of seats are given to other states and Union Territories Students (Other State Quota). 25% of seats are reserved for Home state Defence and all India Defence.

- Class VI: English and Hindi.
- Class IX: English.
Minimum Qualifying Marks
Every student must get certain minimum qualifying mark to qualify for the candidate to qualify the medical examination. The student must get Minimum marks in individual subjects and also in aggregate also. Student needs to get 25% in each individual subject and 40% in Aggregate. There are no minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST Category.
Old Question Papers
Old Sample question papers are available at school for both Classes by paying Rs.25 per set directly. If by post need to pay Rs.50. Sainik School Society can change the pattern of the examination at any time.
