Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) had invited applications for recruitment to 181 posts of Sub-Inspector (Communication), Assistant Sub-Inspector (Communication) and Head Constable (Communication). Weight – Weight of the candidate should be proportionate to height and age as per details are given below. Weight will not be disqualification at the time of PST. However, the overweight/ underweight candidates will be disqualified at the time of Detailed Medical Examination based on weight and age on the day of Detailed Medical Examination and the height as measured during Physical Standard Test.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
In the PET candidates will have to appear for Test which will test their caliber of those candidates who qualify in PST. Ex-Servicemen are exempted for Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test.
Physical Standard Test (PST)
The candidates whose documents have been verified and those who are proven to be eligible will have to appear for Physical Standard Test which will assess if the Physical Measurement of the candidate is as per requirement as per the measurement is given in the notification.

Physical Standard Test (PST)
The Candidates who qualify the Physical Efficiency Test will have to undergo Physical Standard Test. Ex-servicemen are exempted from PST.

Physical Standard Test (PST) – The Candidates who qualify the Physical Efficiency Test will have to undergo Physical Standard Test. Ex-servicemen are exempted from PST. However, their actual height, weight and chest measurements will be recorded:-

The body weights given in the chart are corresponding to only certain height (in cms) on even numbers only. In respect of heights in between, the principle of ‘Average’ will be utilized for calculating body weights.
