Scheme of Examination:
i . The Online Computer Based Examination will consist of a single paper of 3 hours duration with 150 MCQs. Each question carries one mark. The marks allotted to the Main Subject, General Knowledge and Education Methodology as per G.O.Ms.No.33, School Education (EE 1(1) Department, Dated.19.02.2019.
General Paper comprising of subjects(Tamil, English, mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biology, History, and Geography = 110
General Knowledge = 10
Education Methodology = 30
Total = 150
The syllabus for the Examination has been issued as per G.O.Ms.No.33, School Education (EE1 (1)) Dept, Dt.19.02.2019. The syllabus can be downloaded from the TRB website http://www.trb.tn.nic.in.
Cut Off Marks – Minimum Qualifying Marks
i) Minimum Eligibility Mark: As per G.O.Ms.No.33, School Education (EE 1(1) Department, Dated.19.02.2019. candidates have to secure a minimum of 50% marks in the examination (for SC-45% mark, ST-40% mark, others- 50% marks).
Selection Procedure:
The Selection will be made in two successive stages viz.,
(a)Online Computer Based Examination
(b)Certificate Verification.
Online Computer Based Examination:
The date, time and Center for the Online Computer Based Examination will be indicated in the Hall Ticket. The Hall Ticket for the eligible candidates will be uploaded by the TRB in its website. The candidates are advised to refer the TRB website for details (http://www.trb.tn.nic.in). No written communication will be sent to the candidate.
The decision of the Teachers Recruitment Board on the eligibility of the candidate to appear for the online computer based examination will be final.
Certificate Verification:
The Board will prepare the list of Candidates for Certificate Verification(CV) on 1:2 ratio based on the Online Computer Based Examination Marks duly following the communal rotation and other relevant rules in vogue.
