UGC NET Syllabus

UGC NET December 2019 Syllabus

The questions will be in generic in nature, intending to assess the teaching and research aptitude of the candidate. It shall primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. There are tentatively totally more than 80 subjects for the UGC NET examination syllabus. These syllabuses are available in English and Hindi only.

UGC NET Paper 1 Syllabus

The main objectives of the paper – 1 is to assess the teaching and research capabilities of the candidates. They are also expected to have a general awareness about teaching and learning processes in the higher education system. The paper – 1 detailed syllabus are listed as follows.

UGC NET Paper – 2 Syllabus 2019

Paper – 2 syllabuses will be based on the selected subjects by the candidates. Approximately there are totally more than 80 subjects in the list of subjects of UGC NET exam. From there, candidates can select the NET paper as per the wishes. There are totally 100 questions will be asked from the candidate’s selected subject. All the questions will be answered by the candidate within the stipulated time. In the UGC NET website, all the subjects are categorized based on the subject name and their subject code. Candidates can know the detailed list of syllabuses from the official page of the UGC NET https://www.ugcnetonline.in.

Note: National Testing Agency will not provide a copy of the syllabus and will not send the syllabus to the individual applied candidates.

UGC NET exam will consist of two papers. These two papers will consist of objective type questions. The exam will consist of both the papers that are conducted in two different sessions. There is no break between the two exams (Paper – 1 & Paper – 2) during the examination time.
