Eligibility or Qualification

A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification.
NOTE I: Candidates possessing professional and technical qualifications which are recognized by Government as equivalent to the professional and technical degree would also be eligible for admission to the examination.

Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests: Candidates who are declared qualified in the written examination will be summoned for Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests. Those candidates who meet the prescribed Physical Standards will be put through the Physical Efficiency Tests as indicated below.

Note:
Pregnancy at the time of PET will be a disqualification and a pregnant female candidate will be rejected.
Medical Standards Tests, to check the standards specified in Appendix-VI, will be conducted only in respect of candidates who are declared qualified in the Physical Efficiency Test. The Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests will be conducted under the supervision of a Nodal Authority to be appointed by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Tips for preparation of written examination

  • All candidates should give maximum time to their study regularly.
  • Candidates should make their study time or schedule of the day and accordingly start to preparing i.e. make sure to divide your entire time between all related subjects and prepare accordingly daily.
  • Candidates require to maximum use of flow charts and diagram to understand deeply the concerned topic.
  • Candidates must regularly practice solving old year examination papers; with this, you will be able to increase your knowledge as well as time accuracy.
  • Group study is very useful to crack any written examination so we, therefore, advise all concern contenders to make a group of eligible and suitable friends and study combinedly one or two hours in a day and arise your question before them and explain your answer to others too.
  • Time breaks are also essential while preparing hard for any written examination so after 2-3 hours study candidates should take a break of 15-20 minutes for mind fresh.

Exam Pattern for UPSC Central Armed Police Forces 2019

  • Penalty for Wrong Answers (in Objective Type Papers)
  • There Will Be Penalty (Negative Marking) For Wrong Answers Marked By Candidate In The Objective Type Question Papers.
  • There are four alternatives for the answer to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
  • If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the given answers happens to be correct and there will be the same penalty as above for that question.
  • If a question is left blank i.e. no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

On the Day when you appears for written examination

  • Candidates require reaching a written examination location at least 30 minutes before.
  • Candidates are not permitting to bring books or other notes with them on examination centers.
  • Don’t come with your family because no one is permitted to go inside at the examination center premises.
  • Calculator with memory, watches and other electronic item are not allowed to bring at written examination centers.
  • Candidates make sure to bring Admit Card/Hall ticket before appearing the written examination.
  • Candidates have to bring with them 2 pencils and 2 sharpened.

IDENTITY VERIFICATION for UPSC Central Armed Police Forces 2019

On the basis of written test, the provisionally qualified candidates will be required to produce original certificates of Essential and Desirable Qualifications along with one set of photocopy, duly attested,
