Steps for Filling Ph.D Application Form
The steps for filling the online application form is consists of the following three phases
- Sign-Up Phase
- Fill the Online Application Form
- Print the Acknowledgement Receipt
Step 1: Sign-Up Phase
In this stage, every applicant should need to provide a valid email address and a mobile number for registering for the very first time. After that, the login credentials will be sent to the registered email address for completing the remaining part of the application form
Step 2: Fill the Online Application Form
To complete the application form students must log in at the official page with the generated login credentials at the time of registration. Eligibility Criteria for AcSIR 2020 Ph.D Admission

Eligibility of Ph.D (Engineering) & Sponsored Ph.D (Engineering)
Candidate should have completed a Master’s Degree in the field of Engineering & Technology with a duration of 4 years or 4/5 year science degree (or) it’s equivalent and at least any one of following
- Awarded National level Fellowship such as NET, JRF at CSIR institutes.
- Meeting all the conditions stipulated by AcSIR for Project Assistants to register for a Ph.D
- Satisfy all the eligibility conditions of the CSIR-SRF
- Meeting all the conditions for the award of the INSPIRE fellowship
- Meeting all the conditions stipulated by AcSIR for industry-sponsored candidates
Eligibility of IDDP (Integrated M.Tech-Ph.D)
Candidate should have completed a Master’s Degree in the field of Engineering or Science (B.E/B.Tech/BS) or the five-year duration course in the field of Science (or) it’s equivalent and at least any one of the following
- Awarded National level Fellowship such as NET, JRF at CSIR institutes.
- Meeting all the conditions stipulated by AcSIR for Project Assistants to register for a Ph.D
- Satisfy all the eligibility conditions of the CSIR-GATE-JRF
- Meeting all the conditions for the award of the INSPIRE fellowship
