About Recruitment Board

Prior to the independence of the country, the British had introduced the Assam Frontier (Administration of Justice) Regulation, 1945, so as to ensure that a vast majority of disputes and cases, both civil and criminal, were adjudicated in accordance with the prevailing traditional codes of the tribal communities. Even though the Indian Penal Code was already in existence to facilitate holding of trials by regular courts whenever it became absolutely necessary, nevertheless, it was well recognized that the conventional legal system was unsuitable for the tribal societies.
According to the Regulation, the ordinary duties of police in respect of crimes were to be discharged by the village authorities, appointed under section 5 of the Regulation of 1945, who were also entrusted with the task of maintaining peace and order within their jurisdiction. The Regulation, however, stated explicitly that the village authorities would not be deemed to be police officers for purposes of section 25 and section 26 of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 or the section 62 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1898.

Selection Process

Assam Police Constable Applied Candidates whose applications are found correct in all respect will have to undergo the Physical Standards Tests (PST) and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET). If any candidate is found to have any physical deformity as may be detected by the Medical Officer present in the Selection Board, he will be debarred from participating in the other tests.

Exam Pattern for Arunachal Pradesh Police SI & Constable 2018

The Exam Will be of Written Objective Type.
The Question Paper Will be of 300 Questions/Marks.
There will be no Negative Marking.
All candidates applying for the recruitment and prima-facie eligible will be called to appear in Physical Standards Test and Physical Efficiency Test at places finalized by the Commission in consultation with the CPOs. Detailed scrutiny of their eligibility will not be undertaken by the Commission before PET/ PST. Therefore, it will be the responsibility of the candidate to verify their eligibility as prescribed in this notice before appearing for PST/ PET.

Physical Efficiency Test

Candidates who have been screened as at I (Physical Standards Test) above will be required to undergo PET which will consist of the following.
Male Candidates

• Long Jump: 11 feet (Three chances to be given)
• High Jump: 3 1/2 feet (Three chances to be given)

Female Candidates

• Long Jump: 9 feet (Three chances to be given)
• High Jump: 3 feet (Three chances to be given)

PET will not be held for Ex-servicemen. However, they will be required to qualify in the Medical Examination.

Note: Physical Standards and Physical Efficiency Tests are mandatory but are only qualifying in nature and will not carry any marks.
Male Candidates

1. 1 Mile race to be completed in 6:30 minutes.
2. 11 Feet long jump (3 chances to be given).
3. 3 ½ Feet high jump (3 chances to be given).

Female Candidates

1. 800 Meter race to be completed in 4 minutes
2. 09 Feet long jump (3 chances to be given)
3. 03 Feet high jump (3 chances to be given

IDENTITY VERIFICATION for Arunachal Pradesh Police SI & Constable 2018

The original certificates/documents of successful candidates will be verified for which dates will be notified after declaration of result. On the basis of written test, the provisionally qualified candidates will be required to produce original certificates of Essential and Desirable Qualifications along with one set of photocopy, duly attested, viz.: i) Copy of downloaded Registration Slip of on-line application form. ii) Copy of downloaded Admit Card. iii) Certificate showing the Date of Birth. iv) Caste certificate if applied under SC/ST/OBC category issued by the competent authority. v) Disability Certificate, if applied under PWD category. vi) ‘No Objection Certificate’ if in regular employment. vii) Experience certificate, if any.

1. Matric Certificate for age proof.
2. Marks sheet and Degree Certificate of the requisite eligibility qualification.
3. Caste and Creamy Layer Certificate issued by competent authority, if reservation benefit is claimed,
4. If PHP (Divyang) Candidates, certificate from competent authority,
5. If land loser/ land displaced person, certificate issued from District Magistrate/ Dy. Commissioner.
6. If claims reservation against relatives of Freedom Fighter as per Govt. of Bihar Resolution, the Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed Performa of Govt. of Bihar
7. Permanent Domicile of Bihar Certificate, if claim for reservation.
8. Candidate already employed in Govt./ Semi Govt. organization/ Public sector will have to submit NOC from his employer when shortlisted for Verification/Joining.
9. An Identity proof such as Passport/ Aadhar Card/ PAN Card/ Voter Card etc.
