- The final merit of FCI Watchman will be decided based on Written Test subject to qualifying the Physical Endurance Test (PET). Only those candidates who are qualified in the Physical Endurance Test will be considered for final selection.
- In case the requisite number of Candidates are not available to fill up the vacancies, then at the discretion of Competent Authority, an additional list for Physical Endurance Test may be drawn based on the merit of Written Test.
- The seniority of the Officials, appointed in the services of FCI within the Uttar Pradesh Region will be determined by the order of merit in which they are finally selected for appointment.
- The decision of the FCI Watchman in all matters relating to the conduct of examination and preparation of merit list will be final and binding on the candidates.

Selection Process of FCI Watchman Exam
Phase-I Written Examination
Written examination of FCI Watchman will consist of a single Examination Paper for the duration of 120 minutes.
The Written Exam will comprise of 120 Multiple Choice Questions of General Knowledge and General Awareness, Numerical Aptitude and Reasoning, Language (Hindi and English) and Current Affairs.
Note: All questions carry equal 1 mark, no negative marking and the Question Papers for Written Test will be bilingual i.e. in English and Hindi both.
Phase-II Pattern of Physical Endurance Test (Qualifying Nature)
The FCI Watchman written exam successful candidates will be called for Physical Endurance Test which will be of qualifying nature only.
For Male Candidates
(1) 1000 Meters Race – 5 Minutes in one Go.
(2) Long Jump – 3.2Meters in 3 Chances.
(3) HIGH JUMP – 1.1 Meters in 3 Chances.
For Female Candidates
(1) 800 Meters Race – 5 Minutes in one Go
(2) Long Jump – 2.5 Meters in 3 Chances.
(3) HIGH JUMP – .75 Meters in 3 Chances.
