Criterion 2 – Age limit
Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1994. Five years relaxation will be provided to the categories of SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
Criterion 3 – Number of Attempts
A candidate can attend the JEE advanced examination maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
Criterion 4 – Qualifying or Equivalent Examination
A candidate should have appeared in the Class XII examination or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) for the first time in either 2019 or 2020.
Criterion 5 – Earlier Admission at IITs
- A candidate should not have been admitted in an IIT irrespective of whether or not he/she continued in the program or accepted an IIT seat by reporting at a reporting centre in the past.
- Candidate whose admission at IITs was cancelled after joining any IIT is also not eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2020.
- The Candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2019 can appear in JEE Advanced 2020.

Step 1: Registration

Question Pattern & Marking Scheme of JEE Advanced 2020
There are a total of 54 questions per each paper in the exam pattern of JEE Advanced 2020 examination. Candidates are compulsory to attend both papers during the examination time. There will be negative marks for the incorrect answers and there are no marks that will be provided for the non attempt questions.

JEE Advanced Admit Card 2020
JEE Advanced admit card will be released in the online mode for the candidates who have submitted the application form. Students may download their JEE Advanced Hall Ticket from the official page of JEE Advanced or the IIT Delhi. Approximately the admit card will be available to download in the 2nd week of May 2020. Joint Seat Allocation
The seats will be allocated by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) at the various IITs, NITs, IIITs, and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTI). All the qualified candidates can participate in the joint seat allocation process by filling in their choices of courses. JoSAA will be announced separately the schedule of joint seat allocation. All the list of courses will be offered by the IITs for admission will be available at the time of online filling of choices.
