About Sainik School Lucknow
Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey, UP Sainik School, Lucknow is the first Sainik School in India and established in July 1960. Lucknow Sainik School is administered by the Uttar Pradesh Government. This school is an English Medium Boys Residential School and affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The education in this Sainik School is subsidized by the State Government. The main aim of the Sainik School Lucknow is to prepare the cadets academically, mentally and physically for entry into the Defence Service through the NDA (National Defence Academy).

Uttar Pradesh Sainik School admission will conduct every year in the month of April for the 7th and 9th class only. The entrance examination is organized on 12th January 2020. In the written examination, students must qualify. The exam will be OMR based and questions papers are multiple choices.
