Bihar Police Sub Inspector SI 2018 Qualification / Eligibility Details
Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed the degree examination from a recognized university or equivalent examination recognized by State Government.
Age Limit
- General male candidates – 20 years old (minimum) to 37 years old (maximum).
- BC / OBC male candidates – 20 years old (minimum) to 40 years old (maximum).
- General / BC / OBC female candidates – 20 years old (minimum) to 40 years old (maximum).

Bihar Police SI 2019 Written Examination Details
- You will first have to go through a Prelims Examination of 200 marks.
- The Candidates who will secure minimum 30% marks in the Prelims will qualify for the Mains.
- The Mains Exam will be of 200 marks.
- There will be negative marking of 0.2 marks for the wrong answer in both Prelims & Mains Exam.
- The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of Mains Exam & will have to appear for the Physical Test.
- The Written Exam will be a qualification for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

- The Exam shall be conducted in two phases i.e. preliminary and main examination
- The preliminary exam is of 200 marks. There is a single question paper with 100 questions in it. Duration of exam is 2 hours.
Questions in preliminary are on general knowledge and contemporary issues.
Cut Off: 30%
Candidates who obtain cut off marks (30%) qualify for mains. Number of candidates qualifying prelims for mains exam are 20 times the vacancies.

Reservation is applicable only for candidates from Bihar state. Those who apply from other states will be counted as general candidates.

For males: One mile run, Time limit 6 minutes.
For females: One kilometre run, Time limit 6 minutes.

Gola Fenk
For males: Throw a 16-pound gola to a minimum distance of 16 feet.
For females: Throw a 12-pound gola to a minimum distance of 10 feet.

Essential Supporting documents required: (1) Two recent and identical passport size photographs duly signed by the candidate on the front portion of both (one to be pasted on the top right corner of the application and the other to be stitched/stapled with the application); (2) One self-addressed envelope of the size of 25 cm x 11 cm with postal stamp of Rs. 5/- affixed thereon. (3) Photocopy of self-attested documents in support of date of birth, educational qualifications, knowledge in Computer, Caste Certificate and Identity Card issued from the Labour Deptt. Govt. of West Bengal (Employment Exchange Card) and (4) Indian Postal Order to be enclosed with the application.
