About Us
The first railway on Indian sub-continent ran over a stretch of 21 miles from Bombay to Thane. The formal inauguration ceremony was performed on 16th April 1853, when 14 railway carriages carrying about 400 guests left Bori Bunder at 3.30 pm “amidst the loud applause of a vast multitude and to the salute of 21 guns.” The first passenger train steamed out of Howrah station destined for Hooghly, a distance of 24 miles, on 15th August, 1854. Thus the first section of the East Indian Railway was opened to public traffic, inaugurating the beginning of railway transport on the Eastern side of the subcontinent.

Selection Process for RPF SI 2018
The final selection for the post of RPF Sub Inspector SI will be made on the basis of merit position in Written Examination (Written Based).

RPF Sub Inspector SI 2018 Important Instruction Details
An SMS will be sent regarding the release of admit card to all the candidates who will fill the application form successfully.
NO, admit card will be sent by post to any candidate. Candidates must bring admit card with a valid photo ID viz. Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, a printout of e-Aadhaar, Passport, Identity Card issued by the employer in case the candidate is a Govt. The employee, School/College/University Photo ID card in ORIGINAL to the examination hall, failing which candidates shall NOT be allowed to an ear for the CBT.
Candidates should also bring a coloured photograph uploaded in the application form with a clear front view. Candidate should leave the blank spaces in the admit card for signature and thumb impression. These spaces should be filled in the presence if invigilator during the examination. CRC SI/CT will not entertain any request for any change in examination center, date and session allotted to candidates.

Physical Efficiency Test for RPF Sub Inspector 2018 Examination
Those who qualifies the eligibility criteria of will be put to a PET (Physical Efficiency Test). 1500 mts being compulsory will be the first event to be conducted. Only those who qualify in 1500 mts race shall be measured for height and chest. The candidates who fulfill the prescribed physical standards relating to height and chest will be subjected to other Physical Efficiency Test.
Medical Examination for RPF Sub Inspector 2018 Recruitment
The candidates who are finally selected will be sent for medical examination at a Railway Hospital. They have to qualify in Medical category ‘B-I’ as per Indian Railway Medical Manual. Those wearing glasses or having flat foot, knock knee, squint eye, colour blindness and other bodily defects are not eligible for appointment.
The candidates found fit after medical examination shall be directed to the concerned training centre decided by the Railway Administration in the event of their selection. The trainee recruits will be given a stipend plus other allowances as admissible under the Railway Rules during the period of training. Passing the Final Examination at the end of the training is a must.
RPF Sub Inspector SI 2018 Document verification Details
The candidates must bring one photo identity proof such as passport/ Addhar/ PAN Card/ Driving License/ Voter’s Id Card/ Bank Passbook with duly attested Photograph/ Identity Card issued by School or College/ Gazetted Officer in the official letterhead in original as well as a self-attested Photocopy thereof. The photocopy of Identity proof should be submitted along with call letter to the invigilators in the examination hall, failing which or if identity of candidates is in doubt the candidate will not be permitted to appear for the test.

- Marks sheet and Degree Certificate of the requisite eligibility qualification.
- Caste and Creamy Layer Certificate issued by competent authority, if reservation benefit is claimed,
