VBRET Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2020: Visva Bharati conducts Research Eligibility Test to give admission for M.Phil and Ph.D courses. Candidates can go through the syllabus and exam pattern related details of the Visva Bharati University Entrance Exam in this article. According to the specialization of each program, the syllabus will vary to the respective subjects. The VBRET will be held in the Middle of June month every year. All Bhavanas / Vibhagas offering Ph.D programmes will release the notification for admission each year.
VBRET Exam Pattern 2020
The admission test is conducted for 100 marks. The Admission Test is split into two parts, one is written test for 80 marks and another one is viva-voce for 20 marks. The candidate who scores 50% marks (i.e. 40 out of 80) in the written exam is called for the Interview / viva-voce.
Duration of Written Test – 1.5 hours
Reporting Time – 9.00 AM
Question Pattern of Admission Test
- Subjective type Questions – 40 Marks
- Short answer type Questions – 20 Marks
- Objective type Questions – 20 Marks
- Viva-voce – 20 Marks
The admission test is conducted in English/concerned languages. Preference will be given to UGC/JRF certificate holders. No provisional admission will be allowed. The admission test will be carried out in the English language or in the concerned language. The UGC/JRF certificate owners will be given preference. Finally, Visva Bharati University does not allow Provisional Admission.
VBRET Merit List will be prepared as follows:
- Marks on admission test out of – 100
- Postgraduate marks Reduced to – 100
- Honors mark Reduced to – 100
- Total out of – 300
It is to be noted, that admission to M.Phil Programme be made separately along with Ph.D. Programme under Vidya-Bhavana. The admission schedule shall be notified on the University website http://www.visvabharati.ac.in/.
VBRET Syllabus 2020
VBRET Syllabus: In Research Eligibility Test, the syllabus will be based on the Post-graduate Subject syllabus of Visva-Bharati. The syllabus will be according to the Respective Specialization, Respective Departments, Centre of Bhavans, and Vibhaga (Institute).
An Entrance Test which is to be qualified with qualifying marks of 50%. The syllabus of the Entrance Test consists of 50% of research methodology and 50% will be subject-specific.
