Eligibility Details
A candidate shall hold a Bachelor’s degree obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government; and Basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967;
Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati and / or Hindi. A candidate who has appeared or intends to appear or awaiting the result of the final semester/year of the required qualification can apply, but the candidate has to qualify and submit the required qualification as advertised before the last date of submitting the application for mains examination. Also, the candidate must have completed 20 years of age on the last date of online application.

General Studies: (i) Culture and heritage of India with special reference to Gujarat. Questions based on art & craft, dance, music and architecture. (ii) Geography and history of India with special reference to Gujarat. Questions based on Indian National Movement, Indus valley civilization, geographic features of India and Gujarat etc. (iii) Economic and polity system of India with special reference to Gujarat. Questions based on globalization, five year plans, national and international economy. Questions will also be set on first sector of economy, i.e. Agriculture; second sector, i.e. Industries; and third sector, i.e. Services etc. (iv) Environment, science and technology. Questions based on effects of technology on environment, new inventions and innovations etc.
Language test (English/Gujarati): Translation of a paragraph into Gujarati language and vice-versa. Report/application writing. Essay in about 350 words (on Philosophical/Analytical/Personal Narration related or Current issues related subjects). Letter/Precise writing. Grammar. Comprehension.

On the basis of written test, the provisionally qualified candidates will be required to produce original certificates of Essential and Desirable Qualifications along with one set of photocopy, duly attested,
