Selection Process for Puducherry Police Constable

Puducherry Police Constable 2018 Radio Technician Eligibility Details
The applicant who are native of Union Territory of Puducherry by virtue of domicile or continuous residence in the UT of Puducherry for the last five years immediately preceding the date of Notification only are eligible to apply for the post.
Physical Standard Test
Men
Height: Not less than 165 cms.,
Chest: 81-86 cms. with minimum expansion of 5cms
Weight: Body Mass Index(BMI) – Should be 18.50 to 29.9 Kg./M2Minimum
Women
Height: Not less than 154 cms., Weight: 45 kgs Minimum.
Physical Efficiency Test details
For male candidates
- Stage-I – 800mts Run – 2 minutes and 50 seconds
- Stage-II – Long Jump – 3.80mts
- Stage-III – High Jump – 1.20mts
- Stage-IV – 100 meters run – 15.00 Seconds.
For female candidates
- Stage-I – 200mts Run – 45 seconds.
- Stage-II – Long Jump – 2.75mts
- Stage-III – High Jump – 0.9mts

All candidates who qualify in the Physical standards and Physical Efficiency tests shall undergo a Written Test.
The questions will be in objective type and will be generally of +2 standard. The question paper will be in two parts each of two hours duration.
The written test will be in English and Regional languages (i.e) for candidate from Puducherry and Karaikal in Tamil, for Mahe in Malyalam and for Yanam in Telugu.
The Questions for General English shall be only in English Language.
NOTE: Physical test, written test, medical examination will be held in Puducherry only. The candidates will have to appear for the physical efficiency and written test at their own expenses. SC candidates from other regions (Karaikal / Mahe /Yanam) are entitled to second class to and fro railway/ Bus fare on the receipt of the railway / bus tickets
MEDICALTEST: The candidates selected in the Written Test shall be subjected for medical examination to access their medical fitness as per the medical standards prescribed through the Standing Order issued by the Government.
