The selection will be made in three successive stages viz., (i) Preliminary Examination for selection of applicants for admission to the Main Examination, (ii) Main Examination and (iii) Viva–Voce Test.

Note: The candidates for admission to Main Examination will be shortlisted as decided by the Commission at a ratio not exceeding 10 times of the number of vacancies following the rule of reservation. However, in each reservation group, all the applicants, who secure the same marks as that of the cut off marks of their reservation groups shall also be admitted to the Main Written Examination, though the number of applicants to be admitted to the Main Written Examination may exceed 1:10 ratio.

  • Candidates should bring the printout of them admit card in the examination hall.
  • Candidates should download their admit card before the date of exam.
  • Candidate are advised to validate all the details mentioned on their Admit Card.
  • Date, Time and Venue of the Exam will be given on the Admit Card.
  • Candidate should bring their Valid ID proof at the time of Exam.
  • Candidates are advised to keep their Admit Card safe till the joining. Admit Card will be required at the time of joining.
  • Any issue regarding the generation of the admit card can be resolved by contacting the official authorities.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

Selection will be made in three successive stages viz., (i) Preliminary Examination for selection of applicants for admission to the Main Written Examination (ii) Main Written Examination and (iii) Oral Test in the shape of an interview. Final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the applicants in the main written examination and oral test taken together subject to the rule of reservation of appointments. Applicant’s appearance in the main written examination and oral test is compulsory.

Preliminary Exams

No candidate who has secured less than the minimum qualifying marks specified above shall be eligible for Main Written Examination.
The preliminary examination is conducted for the purpose of short listing the candidates and the marks obtained in the preliminary examination shall not be counted for determining the final order of merit of the candidates.
The question paper will be set in both English and Tamil.

Main Examination

Candidates who have not appeared for any of the papers in the main written examination and oral test will not be considered for final selection

MOBILE PHONES AND OTHER ARTICLES BANNED

Except the permitted writing material (i.e. pen), applicants are not allowed to bring cellular phones, electronic or any other type of calculators, watches and rings with inbuilt memory notes, recording devices either as a separate piece or part of something used by the applicant such as watch or ring etc. or any other electronic devices and non – electronic devices such as P&G design data book, mathematical and drawing instruments, log tables, stencils of maps, slide rules books, notes, loose sheets, rough sheets, hand bags etc., into the examination hall / room.

If they are found to be in possession of any such things or instruments, they will not be allowed to write the examination further, besides invalidation of answer paper and / or debarment. If it is considered necessary, they will be subjected to thorough physical search including frisking on the spot (For further details refer to the “Instructions to Applicants”).

IDENTITY VERIFICATION for TNPSC Assistant Public Prosecutor 2018 APP

The original certificates/documents of successful candidates will be verified for which dates will be notified after declaration of result. On the basis of written test, the provisionally qualified candidates will be required to produce original certificates of Essential and Desirable Qualifications along with one set of photocopy, duly attested,
