About AIIMS 2020 MBBS Course

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Nationals

Age Limit:

The Candidate should have completed or will complete the age of 17 years as on the 31st December of the year of the admission.

Educational Qualification

  • A candidate must have passed 10+2 examination system under the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (CBSE)/ Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or its equivalent examination from a recognized University/ Board of any Indian State.
  • The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination at the level of 10+2 with Biology as an additional subject will also be eligible to appear the entrance examination.
  • Candidate who has appeared or is appearing in the qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subject and expect to pass the examination with required percentage of marks are also eligible to apply AIIMS 2020 Exam.

Minimum Percentage of Marks

Students should have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 60% for General and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST candidates and 45% for PwD candidates.

Eligibility Criteria for OCI/ NRI

Candidates under the Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and Non-Resident Indians (NRI) are also eligible to appear in the AIIMS 2020 Entrance Exam and all the terms and conditions applicable for Indian Nationals.

Step 1: Basic Registration (PAAR)

The basic registration will be done by the Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR). In basic registration, Applicants should need to provide a valid email and mobile number at the time of initial registration. After that, a unique application number and password will be generated and send to the registered email address provided while the registration process. Applicants should log in at the official page of AIIMS to start filling up the application form.

Applicants should need to upload the scanned images of their passport size photograph, signature, and left thumb impression. The uploading photograph size (3.5 cm X 4.5 cm, width X Height) should be in the range of 50 KB to 100 KB in the format of JPG/JPEG/GIF/PNG.

The candidate’s signature is must clear and without overwriting and against white background. The size of the signature should be from 20KB to 100 KB in the format of JPG/JPEG/GIF/PNG.

The candidate’s left-hand thumb impression size should be in the range of 20 KB to 100 KB in the format of JPG/JPEG/GIF/PNG. The thumbprint and lines are clearly visible against the white background.

Step 2: Generation of code

The generation of code will be uploaded for the candidates who have applied in the Basic Registration. The code will be generated for the candidates who have submitted the application in the right manner. For knowing the status of generation of code candidates should need to log in their dashboard and check the status for their Basic Registration.

Step 3: Final Registration

Candidates can fill the Final Registration for only who have received the generation of code for final registration. In final registration, candidates have to submit the educational qualification details, choosing the examination cities, and other important details while filling the remaining part of the application form.

Marking Scheme of AIIMS 2020

AIIMS 2020 MBBS exam has a total of 200 questions from the topics related to the above-mentioned subjects. For each correct answer, the candidate will get 1 mark. There is a negative mark for the incorrect answers i.e., 1/3 mark will be deducted from the total marks for incorrect option. There are no marks will provide for unattempted questions.

AIIMS 2020 MBBS Syllabus

The questions will be asked in the entrance examination will be based on the syllabus as prescribed by the State Board of Higher Secondary Education and Central Board of Secondary Examination in the intermediate level of XI & XII Standards. No syllabus has been prescribed by the Institute for the examination.

AIIMS 2020 Admit Card

AIIMS 2020 Overall Rank/ Merit List

A separate merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s category wise by the exam conducting board for the qualified candidates. Merit list is the qualifying marks to get admission into the participating institutions. Candidates who secure less than the minimum percentile in the entrance examination will not be considered for admission and their names will not be included in the merit list. The overall rank will be prepared by the percentile scores for the total marks for both shifts that would be merged and arranged as overall merit list/ Ranking.
