Selection Process
Assam Police Constable Applied Candidates whose applications are found correct in all respect will have to undergo the Physical Standards Tests (PST) and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET). If any candidate is found to have any physical deformity as may be detected by the Medical Officer present in the Selection Board, he will be debarred from participating in the other tests.

Exam Pattern for Arunachal Pradesh Civil Police Constable Exam 2018
Written Examination: The candidates who qualify in Physical Standard Test / Physical Efficiency Test will be put through a written test in the following subjects for which date and venue will be announced separately. The written examination shall be conducted simultaneously at all the recruitment centers.

- There will be a PST and PET exam.
- After PST/ PET Trade test will be Conducted. Which will be of 100 Marks.
- There will be a Written Exam of Qualified Candidates of Trade Test.
- The Exam of Constable GD Civil Police (Male/ Female) will be of 300 Marks and Constable (Band / Bugler) IRBN (Male) will be of 200 Marks.
- The date, time and place will be announced separately. Maximum marks for the viva-voce will be 40.
Important Note: The application forms can either be sent by post or submitted directly by hand at SP Office of respective Recruitment Centres for APST candidates of domicile district and at AIGP (E), PHQ Itanagar for General candidates. Only one application form per candidate will be admitted.
Physical Test
However, the male candidates desirous of applying for both posts viz, Constable (GD) Civil Police (Male/Female) and Constable (Band/Bugler) IRBN (Male) can do so in same application by (living their order of preference.

Physical Efficiency Test
Candidates who have been screened as at I (Physical Standards Test) above will be required to undergo PET which will consist of the following.
Male Candidates
- Long Jump: 11 feet (Three chances to be given)
- High Jump: 3 1/2 feet (Three chances to be given)
Female Candidates
- Long Jump: 9 feet (Three chances to be given)
- High Jump: 3 feet (Three chances to be given)
PET will not be held for Ex-servicemen. However, they will be required to qualify in the Medical Examination.
Note: Physical Standards and Physical Efficiency Tests are mandatory but are only qualifying in nature and will not carry any marks.
Male Candidates
- 1 Mile race to be completed in 6:30 minutes.
- 11 Feet long jump (3 chances to be given).
- 3 ½ Feet high jump (3 chances to be given).
Female Candidates
- 800 Meter race to be completed in 4 minutes
- 09 Feet long jump (3 chances to be given)
- 03 Feet high jump (3 chances to be given
Interview Details
The candidates scoring higher marks in written test for the post of Constable GD Civil Police (Male / Female) and written / trade test for the post of Constable (Band / Bugler) IRBN (Male) in order of merit will be called for viva voce at the ratio of 1:3 with respect to the vacancies. The date, time and place will be announced separately. Maximum marks for the viva-voce will be 40.
