No scrutiny of applications for the eligibility and other aspects will be undertaken at the stage of Written Test. Therefore, the candidature will be provisional only and subject to scrutiny at the appropriate stage. The candidates are advised to go through the requirements of educational qualification, age, reservation, relaxation, etc. and satisfy themselves that they are eligible before applying.
Copies of supporting documents will be sought at the time of Interview only from those candidates who will be shortlisted for Interview. When scrutiny is undertaken, if any claim made in the application is not found substantiated the candidature of such candidates shall stand cancelled without any notice or further reference’ and this Court’s decision in this regard shall be final
On the Day when you Appears for Written Examination
- Candidates require reaching at written examination location at least 30 minutes before.
- Candidates are not permitting to bring books or other notes with them on examination centers.
- Don’t come with your family because no one is permitted to go inside at examination center premises.
- Calculator with memory, watches and other electronic item are not allowed to bring at written examination centers.
- Candidates make sure to bring Admit Card/Hall ticket before appearing written examination.
- Candidates have to bring with them 2 pencils and 2 sharpened.

This is to test the candidate’s knowledge and power of expression in English. Credit will be given both for substance and expression. Conversely, deduction will be made for bad expression, faults of grammar and misuse of words etc. There will be passages for translation, one in English which will be required to be translated into Hindi (in Devanagari Script). Other in Hindi (in Devnagri Script) shall be required to be translated into English.
General Awareness
Questions are designed to test the candidate‟s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions are also designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General policy and scientific research.
General Mathematics
Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem On Ages , Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Date Interpretation is the section which have to be focused.
Reasoning Ability
Analogies, Similarities, Differences, Space visualization, Problem solving, Analysis and Judgment, Decision-making, Visual memory, Discrimination, Observation, relationship, Concepts, Arithmetical reasoning, Verbal and figure classification, Arithmetical number series, Abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationships.
Exam Pattern for Delhi High Court Junior Judicial Assistant 2019 JJA
There shall be 25% negative marking for every wrong answer in Written Examination.
Qualifying marks for General Category candidates will be 40 marks out of 75 marks in the Written Test & 15 marks out of25 marks in the Interview.
There will be relaxation of 5 marks for the Reserved Category (including PH and Ex-servicemen) candidates in the minimum marks of Written Test, Le., 35 marks instead of 40 marks.
There shall be relaxation of marks to the extent of 5% for the Reserved Category (including PH and Ex-servicemen) candidates at the stage of interview. There shall be no rounding off of marks.
