MH CET 2020: Maharashtra Common Entrance Test MHT CET 2020 is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra. MH CET registration 2020 shall commence from tentatively in the third week of January 2020. Candidates can submit the MHT CET Application Form 2020 till the last week of March 2020. MH CET is a state-level entrance exam is providing the admission to the 1^st and direct 2^nd year UG courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, Architecture, and Hotel Management and Catering at the various Government and Private institutions located in the state of Maharashtra.

Eligibility Criteria of MH CET 2020

Nationality

Candidates should be a citizen of India

Age Limit

There is no age limit for appearing in the MHT CET 2020 examination.

Qualifying Examination

Candidates should have passed or appeared in the 10+2 pattern examination or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board.

Candidature Types

1). Maharashtra Candidates

A candidate can claim only one type of Maharashtra State Candidature Type from the Type A to Type E as mentioned as follows.

Type A	For 1st year: Students should have passed the HSC or Diploma in Engineering Examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State Students who are either Domicile of Maharashtra and/or born in Maharashtra.
	For 2nd year Engineering: Candidates should have passed HSC and also Diploma in Engineering or Technology or Bachelor of Science or its equivalent examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State. For 2nd year Pharmacy: Candidates should have passed HSC and Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State. Candidates who are either Domicile of Maharashtra and/or born in Maharashtra.
Type B	A candidate who does not fall in Type-A, but who or whose Father or Mother is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possess Domicile Certificate
Type C	A candidate who does not fall in either Type-A or Type-B but whose Father or Mother is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking and who has been posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submission of the Application Form for CAP.
Type D	A candidate who does not fall in any of the above Type-A, Type-B, and Type-C but whose Father or Mother is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking
Type E	For 1st year: Students should have passed the HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area or from Maharashtra, residing in the disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi. For Direct 2nd year: Candidates should have passed HSC and also Diploma in Engineering and Technology or Pharmacy or its equivalent from a recognized institution from a Disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area or from Maharashtra, residing in the Disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi.

2). All India Candidates

Candidates from the Indian Nationality are eligible under this category

3). Minority Candidates

Candidates from the domiciled of Maharashtra belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from within the State and as notified by the Government are eligible under this category.

4). Jammu & Kashmir Migrant Candidates

a) The Children of citizens, who are displaced from Jammu and Kashmir to any part of India or from unsafe border areas of Jammu and Kashmir to a relatively safer place in Jammu and Kashmir from 1990 onwards due to terrorist activities.

b). The Children of officers belonging to Indian Administrative Services (IAS) or Indian Police Services (IPS) or Indian Foreign Services (IFS) and children of staff belonging to military and paramilitary forces  transferred to Jammu and Kashmir to combat terrorist activities and joined the post on or before the last date for submission of application for admission.

c). The Children of staff and officers of Jammu and Kashmir police engaged in combating terrorism are eligible under this category.

5). Children of NRI/OCI/PIO, Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries, Foreign National.

Candidates from these categories are exempted from appearing for the MH CET 2020 examination.

Seat Reservation

The reservation of seats has mentioned in the table format below as per the candidate’s category wise. This reservation is applicable for the candidates who belong to the Maharashtra State only.

Direct 2nd year (Lateral Entry) – Engineering and Technology	Candidature Type: Maharashtra State candidates, All India candidates. Student should have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology with minimum of 45% (40% for Backward class and PwD candidates in the Maharashtra State only) marks in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (or) State/Central Government. (or) Passed B.Sc Degree recognized by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities with at least 45% marks and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject.
1st year – Pharmacy	Candidature Type: Maharashtra State candidates, All India candidates. Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained 50% (45% for Backward class and PwD candidates in the Maharashtra State only) marks. Candidature Types: NRI/OCI/PIO, Children of Indian workers in Gulf countries, Foreign National. Candidate should have passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology with at least 50% marks. 1st year – Architecture	Candidature Type: Maharashtra State candidates, All India candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant candidates. Students should have passed HSC or its equivalent examinations with at least 50% (45% for Backward class and PwD candidates in the Maharashtra State only) aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. 1st year – Hotel Management and Catering Technology	Candidature Types: Maharashtra State Candidates, All India candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant candidates. Students should have passed HSC or its equivalent examination with at least 45% (40% for Backward class and PwD candidates in the Maharashtra State only) marks. Candidature Types: NRI/OCI/PIO, Children of Indian workers in Gulf countries, Foreign National Students should have passed HSC or its equivalent examination and secured with a minimum of 45% marks.

MH CET Application Form 2020

Students can start filling the application form of MHT CET 2020 Application Form who has met the eligibility criteria. The online registration will start in the 3rd week of January 2020. How to fill MHT CET Application Form 2020?

Step 1: Registration

Applicants can register themselves for the MH CET 2020 examination through the registration process. In this stage, students must have to provide a valid email id and password for registering purposes. After submitting the details the unique Application/Registration number will be sent to the registered mail id.

Step 2: Uploading necessary documents

Candidates should log in with the valid details for filling up the remaining part of the application form. They have to submit personal details like Name, Father Name, Mother Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Caste, Educational Details, Communication address, etc. Finally, students must upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature in the format of JPEG. The scanned images of photograph size should be in the range of 15 – 50 KB and the signature size should be between 5 – 20 KB. Before submitting the entered details in the application form, candidates should check and ensure all the details on the application form.

Step 3: Application Fees

The applicant should have to pay the application fees for completing the application process. The application fee can be paid in the way of online mode such as Credit/Debit/Net Banking. Marking Scheme of MHT CET 2020

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is conducted for 100 marks in the online mode of the examination. All the questions will be asked in the format of Objective/Multiple Choice Questions.

MH CET Answer Key 2020

The exam conducting authority will announce the answer key after the examination has been completed. Candidates can download the answer key from the official website by login with valid credentials. From the Answer Key, aspirants can know the correct and incorrect responses in the examination. MH CET Cutoff 2020

MHT CET cutoff is the necessary thing to get admission to an institution based on the reservation and marks obtained in the MHT CET 2020 examination. The participating institutions are will release their opening and closing rank for providing admission for the courses. MH CET 2020 Counselling

Counselling will be conducted for all the shortlisted candidates in the entrance examination of MHT CET 2020. MH CET Counselling shall commence from tentatively in June 2020. The counselling will be in the online mode. Aspirants should log in to participating institutes to checking the eligible cutoff marks for the specific courses. They have to check the reservation policy and seat availability of the participating institution through its counselling conducting authority.
