All Over Pass Percentage

Tamil Nadu has recorded 39.56 pass per cent. The last two states/UT are Maharashtra and Puducherry with 39.57 and 39.62 pass percentage respectively.

Highest Qualified State & Lowest Qualified State

The highest qualifying percentage was in Delhi, where almost 80 percent of students qualified. The Tamil Nadu State, which had one of the lowest qualifying percentages last year of 39.56%, jumped to 48.57% this year.

Category Wise Qualified Candidates List

The highest number of qualifying candidates is 3.75 lakh from the Other Backward Classes category, while 2.8 lakh students qualified from the unreserved category. Almost one lakh students qualified from the Scheduled Castes category and more than 35,000 from the Scheduled Tribes.

Results: The candidates can check the results through the website, ntaneet.nic.in. Over 15 lakh candidates appeared for the NEET examination that was conducted on May, 2020 in 156 cities across the country.

NEET Rank Sheet/Rank Letter Download

Students will be able to download their NEET Result, Marks cum Rank Sheet/Rank Letter from the official NEET website, ntaneet.nic.in. These documents will also be made available in the candidate’s DigiLocker account.

Admitting Authorities will then invite applications from NEET qualified students and draw up a merit list based on All India Ranks for counseling and admission purpose.

The State Wise Rank List, Merit List, All India Rank 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 will update soon from the official announcement.

Cut-Off – Overall Pass & Fail Previous Year

The cut off of most states remain the same. It includes Kerala which got 66.59 in 2019 and 66.74 in 2018. Bihar has seen nearly three per cent fall with 57.61 in 2019 and 60.15 in 2018. Last year NEET topper Kalpana Kumari was from Bihar.

Exam Strategies

Among states, a maximum of 206745 students appeared from Maharashtra for NEET previous year of which 81171 qualified. From Tamil Nadu, as many as 123078 students sat with nearly 59,785 qualified the medical entrance examination. The registration was higher in Kerala where a total of 110206 applicants appeared of which 73385 passed. Last year 66.74 students passed from the state while this year, there is a minor decrease (66.59). From Karnataka, 102735 students gave NEET 2020 with 64982 passing it.

Category Wise Cutoff Scores

The general category candidates will be considered for the NEET 2020 merit list if they score a minimum of 50 per cent. For those belonging to reserved including SC and ST category, the minimum marks are 40 percentile and for PwD candidates it is 45 percentile.

Official Announcement for Non-Appeared NEET Applicants

Due to cyclone Fani, Odisha state exam centers are not available, so, the exam was postponed to May 20 for only Odisha state. Many Karnataka students who missed the NEET exam due to a train delay were given a chance to re-appear for the exam on May 20.
