The applications have been sought through the railway recruitment board website. The Group C level II posts will be open for candidates in the age group of 18-28 years while Group C Level I (Erstwhile Group D) posts for candidates is open for those in the age group of 18-31 years. While the salary of the former along with allowances as per the Seventh Pay Commission (level 2) will be in the scale of Rs 19,900-63,200, for the latter it will be in the scale of Rs. 18,000- 56,900, the statement said. Applications for Group C Level II posts will be accepted till March 5, 2018 and for Group C Level I (Erstwhile Group D) posts will be accepted till March 12, 2018.

Railway Recruitment Boards Group C & RRB Group D 2018 Selection Method
Selection Process
Only single online application (common to all the notified posts- Group C) has to be submitted by the candidate through the link provided on the official website of RRBs. The entire recruitment process shall involve, First stage CBT, Second stage CBT, Computer Based Aptitude Test and Document Verification as applicable.
The date, time and venue for all the activities viz First stage CBT, Second stage CBT, Computer Based AT and DV or any other additional activity as applicable shall be fixed by the RRBs and shall be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course. Request for postponement of any of the above activity or for change of venue, date and shift will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Railway Recruitment Boards Group C & RRB Group D 2018 Recruitment Qualification Details
Educational Qualification: The minimum educational qualification is class tenth and an Industrial Training Institute certificate (ITI).
Candidates should have the Educational/Technical qualifications indicated for notified posts in the CEN from recognized Institute/University as on the closing date for submission of the ONLINE application. Annexure-A may be referred for the prescribed qualification against each of the posts. Those awaiting results of the final examination of the prescribed educational/technical qualification SHOULD NOT apply.
Diploma/Degree in Engineering will not be accepted in lieu of course completed Act Apprenticeship / ITI for the post of Technicians unless otherwise specified. Graduate Act Apprentice will not be accepted in lieu of Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA).

Exam Pattern for Railway Recruitment Boards RRC Group C 2018 RRB Group D
Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories: UR -40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST30%. These percentage of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2% for PWD candidates in case of shortage of PWD candidates against vacancies reserved for them.

Firstly the candidates need to appear for the Computer Based Test as per the schedule given on their RRB Group D Admit Card/ Call Letter 2018. The exam pattern followed for the test is as follows:
Duration of the exam: 90 minutes
Number of Questions: 100
Type of Questions: MCQ
- Subjects to prepare for the test: The paper will consist of questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, General Awareness on current affairs.
- Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 1/3 marks for every incorrect answer.
- Candidates who are shortlisted for Second Stage CBT availing the reservation benefits of a community shall continue to be considered only against that community for all subsequent stages of recruitment process.
- The marks scored in Part A alone shall be used for short listing of candidates for further stages of recruitment process subject to the condition that the candidate is securing qualifying mark in Part B.
Negative Marking: There shall be negative marking for incorrect answers in First and Second Stage CBT. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer. There shall be no negative marking for Computer Based Aptitude Test.
Important Instruction for Written Examination Hall
Electronic gadgets like Mobile phones, Bluetooth, pen drive, laptops, calculators, wrist watches or any other communication devices or pen/pencil are strictly NOT allowed inside the exam hall.
Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones etc. to the venue of the examination, as arrangements for safe keeping cannot be assured.
Note: Candidates should have their own mobile number and valid & active personal email id and keep them active for the entire duration of recruitment as RRBs shall send all recruitment related communications only through SMS and email till the recruitment is completely over. RRBs will not entertain any request for change of mobile number and e-mail address at any stage.

PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TESTS (PET) for RRB Group D 2018 Recruitment
Based on the merit of the candidates in the CBT, candidates shall be called for PET Two times the community wise total vacancy of the Posts notified against RRBs. However, Railways reserve the right to increase/decrease this limit as required to ensure availability of adequate candidates for all the notified posts. Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and the same will be qualifying in nature. The criterion for PET is as under.

RRC Group D 2018 DV Verification Details for Group C & D Recruitment
Candidates must bring their e- call letters along with a valid Photo ID (viz. Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, printout of e Aadhaar, Driving License, PAN card, Passport, Identity Card issued by the employer in case the candidate is a Govt. Employee, School / College / University Photo ID card etc. in ORIGINAL to the examination hall, failing which candidates shall NOT be allowed to appear for the CBT / Computer Based Aptitude Test / Document Verification (as applicable).
Candidates shortlisted for DV are required to produce all original documents along with two sets of self-attested photo copies of all documents at the time of DV. Further, these candidates should upload the scanned copies (in true colors) of all the original certificates as applicable prior to their DV date through www.rrbdv.in portal.
Matriculation/High School Examination Certificate or Equivalent certificate as Proof for Date of Birth and Matriculation Qualification. (The candidates’ name and the father/ mothers’ name mentioned in the application will be verified with reference to the names mentioned in this certificate.)
