Tamil Nadu 11th & 12th Class Subjects, Marks Public Board Exam Time Table: Are you looking to known New Scheme of Studies 3 Core Subjects Stream about 11th (Plus One) and 12th (Plus Two) Classes Subjects are reduced from 6 to 5 subjects from 2020 – 2021 academic year. Here we go to know about Tamil Nadu Govt Educational Board has released new Govt Order GO on dated 18th September 2019. Hereafter Tamil Nadu 11th & 12th classes only have 500 Marks for 5 subjects in Annual Public Board examination from 2020 – 2021 onwards.
Tamil Nadu Govt has planned to reduce the mental stress & affair about the board exams, from students they have decided 6 subjects to 5 subjects from the upcoming academic year. NEW SCHEME OF STUDIES(3-CORE SUBJECTS STREAM)
The Higher Secondary Course (First Year & Second Year) is an integrated course. Students need to take only those subjects in 1st year which they intend to continue in the second year.
There is a Three-part of subjects has introduced for the upcoming academic year
I: As mentioned in the GO students will have in Part-I Language Paper and Part-II English except, Part-III having 3 primary subjects have included for 500 marks.
II: Students can select the from the subjects as the language of Part I – Language, Part II – English including Part III – has to be pass mark from all subjects.
III: New changed subjects will be the effect from 2020 – 2021 academic year for HSC First Year & Second Year.
Combination of Subjects :
Subjects can be offered as under
Part I – Language – Tamil / Telugu / Malayalam / Kannada / Urdu / Hindi / Sanskrit / Arabic / French and German (any one of the language)
Part II – English
Part III – 3 Core Subjects (The student has to select any one group with a combination of subjects consisting of 3 main subjects given in Table A or Table B.

- Part 1 – Language (Tamil or any other language), Part II (English) and Part III four core subjects are compulsory.
- The total number of compulsory subjects is 5.
- The total marl will be 500 (Part I – 100, Part II – 100, Part III 3 × 100 = 300).
- The syllabi and textbooks for the Part – III subjects (3 Core Subjects) are the same as that of the curriculum for part III in 4 Core Subjects.
- For promotion, the candidates should pass in all subjects.
